GROW STRONG CHILDREN’S PHYSIOTHERAPY AND THE NDIS
The introduction of the NDIS means more children have access to funding than ever before. Grow Strong Children’s Physiotherapy is dedicated to providing experienced, goal directed and family focused services to all our clients and is looking forward to supporting you and your child working with the NDIS.
Working with the NDIS can sometimes be confusing and stressful. As such, we are wanting to ensure as much transparency as possible regarding our services and fees related to your child’s NDIS plan to help with planning and budgeting.
NDIS participants have the option of being either agency managed (NDIA), plan managed or self managed. The price guide states the following:
- The price limits and other arrangements in the Price Guide must be followed when supports are delivered to NDIS participants who have either an agency-managed plan or a plan manager.
- Plan managers are registered providers themselves, and therefore responsible for ensuring that prices paid for supports on behalf of their participants adhere to the arrangements in the Price Guide, including price limits.
- Self-managing participants can use registered or unregistered providers and are not subject to the pricing arrangements in the Price Guide.
- All registered providers, regardless of whether funding for the support is managed by the participant, managed by a registered provider, or managed by the NDIA, must not add any other charge to the cost of the supports they provide, including credit card surcharges, or any additional fees including any ‘gap’ fees, late payment fees or cancellation fees.
Grow Strong Children’s Physiotherapy charges in accordance with the suggested NDIS rates. This is the same for all participants, including those who are self managed. This is to ensure the Grow Strong can continue to provide fair and equatable services to all NDIS clients.
We have always endeavoured to keep our costs as low as possible for families however we believe it is important that these government recommended rates are charged in order to provide evidence to the NDIS as to the cost of providing quality therapy services and to ensure all plans, and the NDIS as a program, is funded appropriately.
The NDIS completes a pricing review at irregular intervals. If this impacts on the cost of your therapy, we will inform you in writing.
GROW STRONG CHILDREN’S PHYSIOTHERAPY NDIS RATES:
Grow Strong Children’s Physiotherapy hourly rates for NDIS participants are as follows:
- Individual Session (line item 15_055_0128_1_3) = $193.99
- Capacity Building Supports For Early Childhood <7 years (line item 15_003_0118_1_3) = $193.99
Additional Information:
- TRAVEL TIME: Travel time costs are billed at a pro rata amount of up to 30 minutes of the above hourly rate. Your therapist will discuss this with you further to outline actual cost
- REPORT WRITING: will be charged at a pro rata amount of the hourly rate.
- NON FACE-TO-FACE ACTIVITIES: in accordance with the NDIS price guide, we charge for non face-to-face activities at a pro rata amount of our hourly rate (eg exercise programs, equipment research, liaising with team members)
- CANCELLATIONS: cancellations of less than 2 full business days will be charged at 100% of the hourly rate FOR THE AGREED SESSION COST (ie includes time set aside to travel to and from your appointment)
- PAYMENTS: Self funded clients are to pay for the session at the session time and claim reimbursement from NDIS
- SERVICE AGREEMENTS: you will be required to sign a service agreement once your plan is in place confirming this information.
